Creator and Perfumer Geza Scheon explained that he had the idea of creating a different kind of fragrance, "I wanted to evoke what it was like to be by the sea" "to recreate the experience of being on an island in the Mediterranean". With the very simple top notes of bergamot and orange, keeping things light, bright and happy, along with laurel and rosemary, typical Mediterranean plants with a spicy freshness and herbal tonality brought with juniper and cypress.
